A storage volume is an identifiable unit of data storage. Storage groups are sets of volumes.

Steps

Do the following, depending on the storage operating environment and the type of volumes you are creating:

- TDEV— Create thin volumes
- BCV+TDEV— Create thin volumes
- CKD— Create CKD volumes
- Virtual Gatekeeper— Create virtual gatekeeper volumes
NOTE: The maximum volume size that is supported on a storage system is 64 TB.
